We carried out a direct replacement of an old boiler and hot water cylinder, upgrading both efficiency and performance for the property.
The existing system featured an open-vented cylinder with very low hot water pressure. We resolved this by converting it to a modern unvented hot water cylinder, significantly improving flow rates and usability throughout the home.
At the same time, we replaced the old, inefficient boiler with a compact, high-efficiency Worcester Bosch unit, carefully installed in the same cupboard and position to minimise disruption and avoid the need for additional alterations.
The result is a much more efficient and reliable system, with vastly improved hot water performance—making a noticeable difference for the client.
We were called out to a client in West Wycombe where one of the commercial boilers had been condemned due to a cracked heat exchanger. After assessment, we recommended proceeding with a full replacement of both units, as the second boiler, although still operational, was very old and had obsolete parts.
